Yorganop office is located on the land of the Whadjuk peoples.
Yorganop pays
our respects to the ancestors and elders of all
Aboriginal peoples, their warriors, past and present.
The Association aims to work in collaboration and consultation with the Aboriginal community, all relevant agencies and Government departments -State and Federal, to achieve its mission in providing services to the target group of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Carers, Children in Foster Care and Early Years through to School Age children, Students, and Community Members which empowers and enables the individual, and therefore the community, to achieve self-determination. These goals will be achieved through the following actions.
Vision
Yorganop will pursue excellence in supporting Aboriginal families and community members throughout Western Australia and beyond to ensure a better future for Aboriginal children and young people, especially those in care.
Mission
Yorganop works alongside Aboriginal families and community members to enhance the well being of Aboriginal children and young people in care. We are committed to keeping families together by offering support and assistance to ensure safe and nurturing environments are provided for all Aboriginal children and young people to grow strong in themselves’ and in their culture.
